Hilkka Timonen’s Research Exchange at VTT to Advance PAREMPI Project

We’re pleased to announce that Dr. Hilkka Timonen, Principal Scientist at the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and leader of the PAREMPI’s policy recommendations work, is participating in a research exchange at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

This exchange, from 16 September to 31 December 2024, strengthens collaboration between research groups, fostering deeper insights into air quality and transport emissions.

During her stay, Dr. Timonen will focus on enhancing the PAREMPI secondary aerosol database and advancing publications on secondary emissions from traffic.

These efforts build on data gathered in past campaigns, helping us progress toward a cleaner, healthier future through improved air quality research. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make strides in the PAREMPI project!
