PAREMPI at the European Aerosol Conference 2025 in Lecce

The PAREMPI project successfully participated in the European Aerosol Conference (EAC) 2025, held from 31 August to 5 September in Lecce, Italy. The conference gathered around 1,100 participants from across the globe, making it a vibrant hub for discussions on the latest developments in aerosol science and technology, with a strong focus on air quality, emissions, and their environmental and health impacts.

PAREMPI had a strong presence at the event, with several members of the consortium presenting their latest findings. Oral presentations were delivered by Hilkka Timonen (Finnish Meteorological Institute), Tereza Červená (Institute of Experimental Medicine – CAS), and Michal Vojtíšek (Institute of Experimental Medicine – CAS). Poster contributions were presented by Topi Rönkkö, Hannu Kuutti, Veera Blankenstein, and several others, showcasing the breadth of the project’s research on transport emissions, secondary aerosol formation, and toxicity.

In addition to the scientific contributions, the conference featured novel instrumentation presented by leading manufacturers. Among them was Dekati, a PAREMPI partner, who participated with a dedicated booth.

Beyond the sessions, participants enjoyed engaging scientific discussions, excellent networking opportunities, and the sunny atmosphere and hospitality of Lecce, complete with delicious Italian food.

The PAREMPI team was proud to contribute to EAC 2025, advancing knowledge on transport emissions and their impacts, and reinforcing the project’s commitment to cleaner air and healthier urban environments.
