PAREMPI presented at the Annual National Seminar on Air Quality

On 7 October 2024, the annual national seminar focusing on black carbon, non-exhaust and exhaust emissions, and advancements in ambient air quality was successfully held at the Paidia room in Nokia Arena, Tampere, Finland.

This event was organized by several prominent projects including BC Footprint, NEX-EL, TUBE, and GIANT, and was proudly sponsored by Dekati Oy.

The seminar commenced with a warm welcome from Professor Topi Rönkkö of Tampere University, a PAREMPI partner, setting the stage for an insightful day filled with expert presentations.

The first session highlighted various measurements and emissions related to black carbon, featuring significant contributions from researchers across multiple institutions. PAREMPI project studies has been successfully presented by two project partners. Dr. Ismael Ortega, ONERA presented his findings on particle emissions from aviation, adding a critical perspective to the discussions. Our project coordinator Päivi Aakko-Saksa, VTT gave a presentation on the results from passenger car emission studies of the PAREMPI project.

The event provided ample opportunities for networking, with coffee breaks designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants. The seminar was a resounding success, bringing together experts and stakeholders dedicated to advancing the understanding and mitigation of air pollution in Finland and beyond.
